Update Part II

OK.. so we had a showing of our current house tonight on two hours notice, so after frantically cleaning we threw the dog, the kids and all of the laundry into the back of the Pilot and did what any other couple does on a Friday night and drove out to the lot. These are as current as it gets. #1 is from the back slider into the kitchen and through the dividing wall into the dining room. #2 is from the great room past the catwalk, through to the front door. # 3 is the opposite of #2, from the front door past the catwalk into the great room. # 4 is Howie and our builder, Brent on top of the catwalk ( can you tell that Howie's favorite thing so far is the cat walk? OK, maybe second next to the garage...)

This weeks update Part I

I get ahead of myself with pictures if I don't post them right away. I want you all to see the most current stuff, and forget that you haven't seen the pics of the stuff from 2 or 3 days ago if I get lazy. So I will divide this into two posts tonight. The first are pics from Tues. and Thurs. Thought maybe you'd like to see the inside of the house for a change. The first pic is the back wall of the great room from the kitchen doorway. The second is the slider out the back of kitchen. You can see all of the framing for the den in the third, though there are so many braces it's hard to tell. The last is self explanatory.

Off the Wall...

Basement walls, new driveway ( kind of ) smaller mountains in our yard, first floor framing ( also kind of ). Got a new camera last week, took a bunch of pictures, then got stuck learning how to download on to Kodak EasyShare with the new Canon. Oh well. Here is a hodge podge of the progress we made this week. The third pic is of the front of the house. The Gable to the left is the "Media Room" which is the new fancy name for Den. The windows on the right are to the garage. ( For all of the window gazing Howie will be doing out of that room..; ) . The last pic is taken from the back right corner of the lot. Those two windows are in the great room. The boys are standing in the driveway in the second picture. Framing on the first floor should be done tomorrow.

Soccer

Here's a couple pics of the boy's soccer games. We were doubled up on Soccer games and Baseball practice for a while. With gas at 3.39 I thought I was going to have to work full time just to get them where they needed to be. ( a chauffer would have helped, as well )

Please disregard this post if you......

....are neither a home appraiser, a Toledo Edison employee, or a concerned father. ( Oh wait, the home appraiser and Edison employee ARE the concerned fathers....) This is very boring and I would much rather be looking a pics of brick or paint or counter tops than basement walls. For whatever reason both Dads think this stuff is important :)

Foundation

We are researching new cameras. I ( and the kids ) tend to not take very good care of things like cell phones, ipods, cameras, especially when they get bounced around in a diaper bag all day. Therefore the posted pictures are a little blurry because the old camera is dying. Since these were taken we also have basement walls with some pink stuff on them that I think is either insulation or weatherproofing, or maybe both. Pictures of the mystery pink material forthcoming.
