Kitchen ( see the blue paint? That square in the corner is my

dishwasher...which I have never had and is the the most important

thing in the house as far as I am concerned ).

New windows and front door... which is open and you can't see.
The top window there is H's room. The bottom two are in the great room.
The window on the left is glass block above the bath tub. To the right is in the master. No windows on the back of the house yet when I took these.

We had some minor theft from the job site last week, things that were hidden in the house, not just lying on the lot. I will be glad when we finally have all the doors and windows on, but I think the garage door will be a while. These were taken this morning, and as of this afternoon they started siding. We ( I ) did a walk through with the electrical guy too, so they also start this week. Who knew deciding where your telephones go would be such a big thing.

This was taken on Monday. There was a delay in getting the roof up because it has been so windy. We are mostly on schedule now.

This was taken today. Roof is up. Plumbing, Electrical and Heating all started this week. Shingles on the roof also supposed to start this week. Nothing much exciting inside except that the kitchen cabinet layout is spray painted on the floor in pretty blue spray paint. Somehow I don't think that is as what is going on in the rest of the house ;).

Kindergarten Graduation/Vacation

Here are a few from our vacation to Duck, NC. The top is M's graduation from kindergarten two days before we left. Then E and Howie on the beach, and finally all three on the beach on the last day. More to follow.

OK.. So I am still learning how to format this blog. Any of you out there that know how to move my pictures and/or get captions under the photos let me know. Otherwise here is this week's progress. We can get up to the second floor now. #1 is H's room beyond the "bridge" as the boys call it. Figured the oldest should be as far away from Mom and Dad as he can get. # 2 is over the "bridge" into the great room... notice the fireplace is framed in. # 3 is off of the other side to the foyer and the front door. # 4 is the back of the house now that all the walls are up. If all goes as planned the framing for the roof should be up by Friday.
